Crowdfunding
Crowdfunding is the process of gathering a community to provide financial support for a project within a set period of time. Our crowdfunding platform specializes in community-based projects that empower communities to transform and invest in themselves. Local leaders identify local projects and are supported through community buy-in at the grassroots level. We believe in crowdfunding because it’s accessible, decentralized, a great storytelling tool, and facilitates strong community engagement.
Crowdgranting
Crowdgranting is our unique model that combines crowdfunding with a matching grant from one of our funding partners, such as a state agency, foundation, nonprofit organization, or corporation. If an approved crowdfunding project reaches its funding goal, the project will receive a matching grant to further the project impact within the community. Successful crowdgranting projects leverage support from residents, business owners, and stakeholders to receive grant dollars, with the community acting as the final review committee.
Speaking
Our team is experienced and passionate about speaking on the topics of community and economic development. We are eager to speak and offer training sessions on a variety of subjects including placemaking, grant management, and fund development strategies that are people-first and community-driven. Topics range from developing a successful crowdfunding strategy to how-to activate public spaces during the winter months, and placemaking and economic recovery in your community. Together, we’ll find a topic that matters most to your community or organization and provide expertise that will interest and excite your community or membership to learn more and build a more vibrant community.
